Structured Cabling Systems

Maintaining that competitive advantage in today’s marketplace sometimes requires utilizing the most advanced information technology.  Choosing the
Structured Cabling System best suited for your network application(s) is key to getting the most out of your investment.  The bargain priced system you
install today, isn’t a bargain at all if a few years from now that limited system doesn’t support your ever-changing network requirements.  In fact, no other
component of a network has a longer life cycle than the structured cabling.  Hence, no other component requires more careful consideration.

In addition to the benefits inherent in its characteristics, today’s fiber optic cabling products can provide almost unlimited bandwidth as well as many
valuable advantages over all previously developed transmission media.  But, which type will fit your needs best?  In general, the capabilities of a Fiber
Optic Transmission System far surpass those of any available copper wire or coaxial cable plant.  Whether the network resides within a small office
space, an entire building, a factory floor, or an entire campus, there’s a fiber optic solution for every aspect of your network.  Fiber optic cabling allows
longer transmission distances, and improves the overall efficiency and security of a network.  Maximum versatility, increased durability, lower
maintenance, and increased reliability are just a few of the reasons why all of the major telecommunication carriers and Fortune 500 companies have
imbedded fiber optic backbones as well as network distribution / horizontal fiber to the desktop.  What’s even more amazing is that it is surprisingly
affordable!  The key is in finding the right solution.  You can rest assured that Gavin Systems will design and install the proper fiber solution for your
particular needs.

Low-Voltage Cabling

Low-voltage Cabling isn't limited to data and voice networks. It includes various wiring for music and paging systems, CCTV and Security Systems, Fire
Alarm, Access Control, and Building Automation Systems as well.  New applications for Low-voltage Cabling are being found at such a fast rate, that
even the Standards Boards find it hard to keep up.  That’s why it’s important to choose a cabling vendor who stays on the cutting edge of each
application.  Gavin Systems technicians are never left to learn the ins and outs of these new applications “on the job” (more importantly on your job).  If
necessary, we will bring in professional instructors to conduct private training sessions for our technicians.  Many times our customers are invited to
these sessions allowing them insight into the technology they are about to deploy.
Whether you’re adding one workstation or an entire Voice/Data/Video/Security/ Building Automation System, Gavin Systems has the structured cabling
expertise you’re looking for to install a trouble free cabling system.
Most of these systems then come with a 25 year manufacturers warranty on both
labor and material!
So why not request a no-obligation site survey of your facility by contacting us today!
Design/Consulting Services

A properly designed and installed cabling system provides a universal platform upon which an overall information system's strategy is built.  Today’s
cabling infrastructure must support multiple voice, data, video and multimedia systems; FDDI, Fast Ethernet, Ethernet, Gigabit, Fiber Channel, Token
Ring, ATM, and more.  Your cabling plant may require several independent cabling solutions of different media types to each workstation.  It should then
not only be reliable, but flexible enough to meet the demands of higher speed/bandwidth applications, new technologies, and the inevitable network
growth.  At the same time that system must be able to ease the disruptions or potential network downtime associated with office restructuring (moves,
adds, & changes), and any of the other challenges your IT Network faces on a daily basis.
In addition to our decades of experience, to insure that your Structured Cabling System is the right one for your company, Gavin Systems has three BICSI
Registered Communications Distribution Designers (RCDDs) on staff, full-time.  Through continuing education, the Building Industry Consulting
Services International (BICSI) requires their certified designers to stay current on both national and local low-voltage and communication standards, as
well as any technical developments within the industry.  Subsequently, Gavin Systems can design and install the system best suited for you.
Project Management

At Gavin Systems we believe that an informed customer is a happy customer.  Not only does it mean that our customers understand the technology into
which they are making their investment, but that each step of the way they understand what it will take to get that technology installed properly and in a
timely fashion.  We believe that there's nothing worse than for the people who you've trusted enough to hire, revert to pointing fingers as to why things
aren't going as planned; sometimes even pointing at you!  This is why you can and should expect a timetable explaining not only what will be done, but
informing you of what's required by all parties concerned to get them done.  To name a few, things like building access, security clearance, or items
contingent upon other trades need to be identified ahead of time.  Gavin Systems Project Management Team in conjunction with our on-site Foreman
will keep you informed every step of the way . . . in advance!  Weekly status updates on past, present, and upcoming work keeps everyone informed and
things moving along smoothly, something you can always count on with a Gavin Systems Project Manager (PM) on your account.  After a complimentary
evaluation of the many aspects of your project, we can supply you with a Full or Part-time PM who will ensure that your project is completed on-time and
within budget.
Security Systems

The old adage of "better safe than sorry", still holds true today.  In today's highly competitive environment, an inadequate surveillance and security
system could cost you your entire business!  Wouldn't it be great if at anytime (and in real-time) you could see exactly what's going on throughout your
office, Data Center, Conference Room, Break Room, etc.?  No matter where you are in the world, you can know who's coming and going, and what
they're doing while they are there!   Gavin Systems can design and install a surveillance and security system that will allow you to do just that!
Access Control Systems

In conjunction with your security system, or in a stand-alone scenario, an Access Control System can limit who has access to what areas of your
workplace and when.  There are almost an endless number of devices deployed with regard to Access Control.  From futuristic bio-scanners, to the
traditional card or keypad, we at Gavin Systems can design and install a system for almost any budget.
Data Center Build-outs

As technology has grown so has the need for more network storage and applications. It's out of these needs that the Data Center (DC) has evolved to
become part of almost every organization.  The DC holds your companies most vital information, and serves a variety of purposes.  Hence, it must be of
the utmost reliability no matter the size; one rack and a cabinet or rows and rows of both.  Typically the DC houses servers, storage devices, UPS
systems, climate control systems, etc.  Each of these play a crucial role in the day-to-day exchange of the information your organization needs to survive.
And since anything less than 0% down-time is not acceptable, the DC not only needs to be designed properly, but properly installed as well!  The design
and construction of such a "mission-critical" environment requires a level of knowledge, insight, and experience above that typically seen in general
telecommunication design and construction  projects. The goal of any DC design, is to deliver a manageable, scalable, and highly available
environment.  Experienced in both raised floor and over-head installations, Gavin Systems will work side by side with your IT personnel to insure that
your Data Center is found to be accessible, neat, organized, and charted, so that when that alarm comes the problem can be resolved with zero
down-time.
Telephone Systems

Over the past 25 years the telephone has evolved into something that would be unrecognizable to it's inventor, Alexander Graham Bell.  Todays
telephone systems can do so much more than just make phone calls.  Whether you're looking for Voice over IP (VoIP) or a traditional phone system, we
can find the system that best suits your business environment.  To make it so, Gavin Systems has partnered itself with the industries leading telephone
system providers such as Siemens, Mitel, Rolm, and Covad.  From auto-attendants to trafficking reports let us set you up with a telecom professional
who will evaluate all your telephone system requirements, and then recommend the products that are perfectly suited for your needs.
Fire Alarm Systems

We understand that the safety of your employees and the investments you've made into your infrastructure are priceless.  We also understand that
unless properly understood and adhered to, the National Fire Alarm Code (NFPA 72) is worthless!  From priceless to worthless, that's how it goes when
your installers are simply "Cable Pullers" and not certified installers.  As with anything else, a proper understanding of what, how, when, and why are
crucial in determining and installing the devices best suited for the task at hand.  To insure your Fire Alarm System protects as it should, Gavin Systems
has multiple crews of technicians who have been privately trained and certified in the installation of fire alarm, detection, and prevention systems.
On-site Staffing

Many of our customers have such an abundance of MAC work (moves, adds & changes) that they request on-site installation and maintenance
technicians for weeks or months at a time.
Upon determining the size and scope of the project, our technicians can work under your direction or ours.
So, whether it’s for a day, a week, a year, or longer, rest assured that Gavin Systems has the personnel with the expertise and experience perfectly
suited for the work at hand.
25 Year Warranty

Because in todays highly competitive market, an investment is only a good one if it's good for today and tomorrow as well.  Wouldn't it be nice not to
worry about whether or not your business is going to outlast your investment?  With Gavin Systems at your side, you can rest assured that both Labor
and Material are warranted for up to 25 years!  And that's not from just some flash-in-the-pan manufacturer, we're talking about fortune 500 companies
(Just check our list of industry affiliates!).  So before you jump onto the bargain basement band-wagon think about the future, and think Gavin Systems.
